I do understand that, seen from a spiritual or even from a psychological perspective, the concept of new beginnings are as important as growth and maturity themselves. “Resurrection” Here I am sitting in our living room watching the movie “Mission” with my brother friars. It’s a very difficult movie to watch. It deals with a group of good and compassionate Jesuit priests who are missionaries to indigenous peoples in South America. It’s also the tale of the injustices that the indigenous people were forced to suffer by the Spanish and Portuguese Crowns. The injustices were so brutal that the priests themselves took on arms to defend the indigenous. Good Challenges Are Sometimes Hard to Swallow I recently read an article in which there appeared a picture of a church sign that read: “Kind Atheists are Closer to Jesus than Mean Christians.” It challenged me in many ways. What about you?  What do you think of this statement?  What feelings and thoughts rise within you?
