We Shall Not Ignore the Holy Families. We Will Not Forget You.

This picture captures the many families throughout the world who find themselves homeless and with no place to stay, like The Holy Family themselves experienced. Within the joy of this Christmas Season, a season of joy and hope for the world, we still face the grim reality that so many human beings still suffer from the same maladies that have afflicted
humanity for ages: strife, poverty, war, misunderstanding, lack of compassion, and human greed. We cannot forget them. For to forget them is to forget the suffering Christ who was born and lives among us.
As we come together with family and friends in the warmth of our homes, let us lift all these holy families up to the Lord and pray with them and for them. Let us ask God to create a more compassionate heart so that the intentions of these suffering ones find a home in our hearts and prayers. Let us transform our lives into living mangers where the suffering of humanity is calmed, at least a little, by our love. As Christians we can never ignore these suffering holy families.
Live this Christmas with Christ in your hearts knowing that wherever Christ is, there also are the suffering Christs of this earth. May your Christmas be beautiful, compassionate, and kind. Enjoy your blessings.

No ignoraremos a las Sagradas Familias. No los olvidaremos.

Esta imagen representa a las muchas familias en todo el mundo que se encuentran sin hogar y sin un lugar donde quedarse, tal como le sucedió a la Sagrada Familia. En medio de la alegría de esta Navidad, una época de gozo y esperanza para el mundo, aún nos enfrentamos a la cruda realidad de que tantos seres humanos siguen sufriendo los mismos males que han afligido a la humanidad durante siglos: conflictos, pobreza, guerra, incomprensión, falta de compasión y avaricia humana. No podemos olvidarlos. Porque olvidarlos sería olvidar al Cristo sufriente que nació y vive entre nosotros.

Al reunirnos con familiares y amigos en la calidez de nuestros hogares, elevemos a todas estas sagradas familias al Señor y oremos con ellas y por ellas. Pidamos a Dios que nos conceda un corazón más compasivo para que las intenciones de quienes sufren encuentren un lugar en nuestros corazones y oraciones. Transformemos nuestras vidas en pesebres vivientes donde el sufrimiento de la humanidad sea aliviado, al menos un poco, por nuestro amor. Como cristianos, nunca podemos ignorar a estas sagradas familias que sufren.
Vivan esta Navidad con Cristo en sus corazones, sabiendo que dondequiera que esté Cristo, allí también están los Cristos sufrientes de esta tierra. Que su Navidad sea hermosa, compasiva y bondadosa. Disfruten de sus bendiciones.
