Thank you, Pope Francis Gracias, Papa Francisco. Every pope brings his own charism, spirituality, experiences, and perspectives to the papacy, together with his limitations. Humans are human and there is no escape. It’s a great adventure to discern and witness how God guides the Church. I always found it interesting that a man like Francis could have come out of a college of cardinals and conclave so conservative. Once in a while life teaches us that the old saying is certainly true: “We propose, and God disposes.” And God certainly proved it when Jorge Bergoglio was elected pope: A pope that brought fresh air into the lungs of the church without changing one iota of articles of faith, and who suffered the might of the traditionalists who...
