Beautifying our Church for the Glory of God  / Embelleciendo nuestra Iglesia para la Gloria de Dios

Dear Good People of God,

It is my hope to have the month of January 2026 dedicated to remodeling our church sanctuary. Quinceañeras, weddings and baptisms for the month of January will not be scheduled due to work that will be in progress in the church.
I’m sure that we will have scaffolding, ladders, and equipment in the church. We will try to continue to offer daily Mass if at all possible. Our Saturday and Sunday schedule of Masses will continue as normal, but I do ask your understanding and patience as we celebrate Masses in the midst of whatever equipment is set up in the church.

At this time, I call upon our parishioners who are masons, carpenters, and painters to please consider volunteering your time and expertise to the projects we will do in January. I need as many as possible so that we can lighten the work for all and accomplish the work that needs to be done. We will need craftsmen that are experienced with tile work as we will be putting tile on the sanctuary walls. We will need carpenters to construct the steps, tabernacle stand, and the baldacchino for the tabernacle. A golden tabernacle
(that we have) will be installed. We will also need painters who will paint the sanctuary walls and perhaps other walls. The parish will pay for the lift, scaffolding, paint and paint supplies.

I ask those who would like to contribute your time and talent to make this project a spiritual experience and gift to God for a special intention. We will bring those intentions to God in a special that will be celebrated for the intentions of the workers and as a sign of our community’s gratitude for the work.
I will announce a meeting date when all volunteers will meet with me to review the drawings for the sanctuary appointments. I truly need you so that we can accomplish this project. The more volunteers we have, the easier it will be.

Queridos fieles de Dios:

Espero dedicar enero de 2026 a la remodelación del santuario de nuestra iglesia. No se programarán quinceañeras, bodas ni bautizos durante enero debido a las obras en curso en la iglesia.
Estoy seguro de que tendremos andamios, escaleras y equipo en la iglesia. Intentaremos seguir ofreciendo misas diarias si es posible. Nuestro horario de misas de sábado y domingo continuará con normalidad, pero les pido su comprensión y paciencia mientras celebramos misas mientras se instala el equipo en la iglesia.

En este momento, hago un llamado a nuestros feligreses albañiles, carpinteros y pintores para que consideren ofrecer su tiempo y experiencia como voluntarios para los proyectos que realizaremos en enero. Necesito la mayor cantidad posible de voluntarios para que podamos aligerar el trabajo y completar el trabajo necesario. Necesitaremos artesanos con experiencia en azulejería, ya que colocaremos azulejos en las paredes del santuario. Necesitaremos carpinteros para construir los escalones, la base del tabernáculo y el baldaquino. Se instalará un tabernáculo dorado (que ya tenemos). También necesitaremos pintores para pintar las paredes del santuario y quizás otras paredes. La parroquia cubrirá el costo del elevador, los andamios, la pintura y los materiales necesarios.

Les pido a quienes deseen contribuir con su tiempo y talento que hagan de este proyecto una experiencia espiritual y un regalo a Dios por una intención especial. Presentaremos esas intenciones a Dios en un evento especial que se celebrará por las intenciones de los trabajadores y como muestra de la gratitud de nuestra comunidad por el trabajo.
Anunciaré una fecha de reunión para que todos los voluntarios se reúnan conmigo para revisar los planos para las citas del santuario. Realmente los necesito para que podamos completar este proyecto. Cuantos más voluntarios tengamos, más fácil será.

Que el Señor los bendiga por su consideración y ruego que muchos de ustedes se acerquen a embellecer nuestra iglesia para la gloria de Dios.
