To tell you the truth, I don’t know what to write about this weekend. The only thing I really would like to write about is the matter of the upcoming election, but that’s a very touchy topic. I actually want to live a little longer, so I will not speak about it although I really want to. But, like I said, I want to live a little longer.

Haven’t you felt or feel like that sometimes? You want and need to speak about something that is important to you, but you’re concerned about revealing your political views. Well, if you do, join the club. These days can be difficult. We have a big responsibility ahead of us in November. These are indeed fragile and sensitive times because there is a lot to consider, and emotions run high. I guess that we’re on our own with this one again.

From the Christian perspective, I guess that the only advise that I can give is for us to keep the common good in mind. That’s not always an easy thing, but this we must do and not allow ourselves to be led and divided by misinformation, lies, conspiracy theories, and fear. This is a time to look at one another with the best of intentions and take the welfare of all the people into consideration. The nation deserves that from each and every one of us and the nation needs it too.

May we be wise and take all the issues into consideration.

Para decirte la verdad, no sé sobre qué escribir este fin de semana. Lo único sobre lo que realmente me gustaría escribir es sobre el tema de las próximas elecciones, pero es un tema muy delicado. En realidad, quiero vivir un poco más, así que no hablaré de eso, aunque realmente lo deseo. Pero, como dije, quiero vivir un poco más.

¿No te has sentido o te sientes así a veces? Deseas y necesitas hablar sobre algo que es importante para ti, pero te preocupa revelar tus opiniones políticas. Bueno, si es así, únete al club. Estos días pueden ser difíciles. Tenemos una gran responsabilidad por delante en noviembre. Estos son tiempos realmente frágiles y sensibles porque hay mucho que considerar y las emociones están a flor de piel. Supongo que estamos solos con esto otra vez.

Desde la perspectiva cristiana, supongo que el único consejo que puedo dar es que tengamos en cuenta el bien común. No siempre es algo fácil, pero debemos hacerlo y no dejarnos llevar y dividir por la desinformación, las mentiras, las teorías conspirativas y el miedo. Este es un momento para mirarnos unos a otros con las mejores intenciones y tomar en consideración el bienestar de todas las personas. La nación merece eso de todos y cada uno de nosotros y la nación también lo necesita.

Seamos sabios y tomemos en consideración todos los asuntos.
