Corpus Christi- The Body of Christ / El Cuerpo de Cristo
Corpus Christi: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ is a celebration of Jesus among us in the Eucharist.
It follows Christ’s Resurrection on Easter, the Descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, and the celebration of God in Three Persons on Trinity Sunday, in which we now celebrate Christ’s constant presence here on earth, fully alive in the Eucharist.
This feast celebrates the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, and the Holy Spirit is the agent through which the bread and wine are transformed into the Body and Blood of Christ. With the Holy Spirit’s role in empowering the apostles at Pentecost, through the power of apostolic succession, priests today continue making Christ’s presence real and active through the Eucharist.
It solidifies our belief in the doctrine of TRANSUBSTANTIATION, which states that during the Mass, the bread and wine are transformed into the actual body and blood of Jesus Christ, despite remaining in the appearances of bread and wine.
We know in faith the true meaning of the Eucharist – that He is here, with us.

Corpus Christi: La Solemnidad del Santísimo Cuerpo y Sangre de Cristo es una celebración de Jesús entre nosotros en la Eucaristía.
Sigue a la Resurrección de Cristo en Pascua, la Venida del Espíritu Santo en Pentecostés y la celebración de Dios en Tres Personas el Domingo de la Trinidad, en la que ahora celebramos la presencia constante de Cristo aquí en la tierra, plenamente vivo en la Eucaristía.
Esta fiesta celebra la Presencia Real de Cristo en la Eucaristía, y el Espíritu Santo es el agente a través del cual el pan y el vino se transforman en el Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo. Con el rol del Espíritu Santo al empoderar a los apóstoles en Pentecostés, mediante el poder de la sucesión apostólica, los sacerdotes de hoy continúan haciendo real y activa la presencia de Cristo a través de la Eucaristía.
Consolida nuestra creencia en la doctrina de la TRANSUBSTANCIACIÓN, que afirma que durante la Misa, el pan y el vino se transforman en el verdadero cuerpo y la sangre de Jesucristo, a pesar de permanecer en las apariencias de pan y vino. Conocemos por fe el verdadero significado de la Eucaristía: que Él está aquí, con nosotros.
