It is amazing to see the thousands of people that continue to welcome and support the Buddhist monks who are walking for peace. It is wonderful to witness how so many people are drawn to their example and desire for peace.

Most striking of all is the atmosphere of reverence that greets the monks wherever they go and the peace that permeates the crowds who await them. Without a doubt their desire and dedication to take the message of peace to people’s lives is a gift that is being well received and wanted.

St. Julia Parish had the privilege of having the venerable monks walk by the church this Thursday morning. We rang the church bells as our greeting to the monks and as a sign of our support and union with them. We feel blessed to have had them so close.

May God bless them, protect them, and keep the flame of peace and compassion burning in their hearts.

We bless them for the example they offer us and the peace they give to us.

Es asombroso ver a las miles de personas que continúan recibiendo y apoyando a los monjes budistas que caminan por la paz. Es maravilloso presenciar cómo tantas personas se sienten atraídas por su ejemplo y su anhelo de paz.

Lo más impactante de todo es la atmósfera de reverencia que rodea a los monjes dondequiera que van y la paz que impregna a las multitudes que los esperan. Sin duda, su deseo y dedicación de llevar el mensaje de paz a la vida de las personas es un regalo que está siendo bien recibido y apreciado.

La parroquia de Santa Julia tuvo el privilegio de que los venerables monjes pasaran junto a la iglesia este jueves por la mañana. Tocamos las campanas de la iglesia como saludo a los monjes y como señal de nuestro apoyo y unión con ellos. Nos sentimos bendecidos por haberlos tenido tan cerca.

Que Dios los bendiga, los proteja y mantenga encendida la llama de la paz y la compasión en sus corazones.

Los bendecimos por el ejemplo que nos ofrecen y la paz que nos transmiten.
