Let Christ’s Humility and Peace Enter Your Heart

What a wonderful way to begin Holy Week with a couple of our parishioners sharing something of their spiritual journey with the rest of us. I hope many more of you will do the same. You can even write about what it means for you to be a Catholic, a member of St. Julia Parish, what does our parish community mean for you, and even sharing about how you have grown as a person and as a person of faith. Our stories can help and inspire others. I hope you will consider it.

Here we are on Palm Sunday, the beginning of the most solemn week of the year. We have spent 5 weeks in Lent. How have we arrived to Holy Week? Are we spiritually prepared? Have we repented for our sins and made amends? Have we arrived humble enough to see the humility of God in the person of Jesus?

I pray that Holy Week will be a sacred time for you and that, as you ponder the Passion of the Christ, you may also experience the life and the hope of Resurrection. As we wave the palms and take them home this Palm Sunday, may we welcome Jesus into our lives in more meaningful ways.

Deja que la humildad y la paz de Cristo entren en tu corazón

Qué maravillosa manera de comenzar la Semana Santa con un par de feligreses compartiendo algo de su camino espiritual con nosotros. Espero que muchos más hagan lo mismo. Incluso pueden escribir sobre lo que significa para ustedes ser católicos, ser miembros de la parroquia de Santa Julia, qué significa nuestra comunidad parroquial para ustedes y compartir cómo han crecido como personas y como creyentes. Nuestras historias pueden ayudar e inspirar a otros. Espero que lo consideren.

Estamos en el Domingo de Ramos, el comienzo de la semana más solemne del año. Hemos pasado cinco semanas de Cuaresma. ¿Cómo hemos llegado a la Semana Santa? ¿Estamos preparados espiritualmente? ¿Nos hemos arrepentido de nuestros pecados y enmendado nuestros errores? ¿Hemos llegado con la humildad suficiente para ver la humildad de Dios en la persona de Jesús?

Ruego para que la Semana Santa sea un tiempo sagrado para ustedes y que, al reflexionar sobre la Pasión de Cristo, también puedan experimentar la vida y la esperanza de la Resurrección. Al ondear las palmas y llevarlas a casa este Domingo de Ramos, que podamos acoger a Jesús en nuestras vidas de maneras más significativas.Están en mis oraciones y en mi corazón.
