A look back at the month of May for future inspiration<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Gifts of a Mother\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The month of May is no doubt the time when we reflect on the person who gave us life here on earth, and in most cases the one who nurtured us as a babe, tried to teach us right from wrong and whose connection with us is bound for life.<\/p>\n

Each year I often reflect on \u201cALL\u201d of the mothers in my life. While I undoubtedly honor Mother Mary and my mother here on earth, there have been many who have influenced my life that I consider a maternal figure deserving of celebration. Those who guided some of my decisions in life taught me through their words and those who I looked up to for their actions and example.<\/p>\n

Mother\u2019s Day is an opportunity to honor all of the women we know and love who follow the selfless example of our heavenly mother, the Mary Mother of God. There are many examples of Mary fulfilling her role as the Blessed Mother in every generation and culture. She has shown her resilience, devotion, and strength, which can also be reflected in the hearts and lives of all mothers.<\/p>\n

Mary is the ultimate example of motherhood to all of us. Her vocation as a mother, nurturing human life and raising future generations, not only requires selflessness, but immense strength and patience. The Blessed Mother has always displayed this selflessness, through her complete trust in the Lord, that He would accompany her from the difficult journey at Christ’s birth, through His death and rising. In our devotion to the Blessed Mother, we recognize Mary\u2019s enduring and tender love for Jesus and her commitment to us.<\/p>\n

The strength of a mother\u2019s love for her child is present in each step of life. Motherhood forms a unique bond between mother and child which is an example of the divine gift of creation that unites all mothers with God.<\/p>\n

Pope Francis once said \u201cA society without mothers would be a dehumanized society, for mothers are always, even in the worst moments, witnesses of tenderness, dedication and moral strength,\u201d (General Audience, 2015).<\/a><\/p>\n

Let us show honor to our blessed Mother Mary, our Mother Church, our mothers here on earth, and any of those in our lives who have given us the beautiful gifts that only a mother can provide.<\/p>\n

“Los Dones de una Madre”<\/strong><\/h3>\n

El mes de mayo es, sin duda, el momento para reflexionar sobre la persona que nos dio la vida en la tierra, y en la mayor\u00eda de los casos, quien nos nutri\u00f3 desde beb\u00e9s, quien intent\u00f3 ense\u00f1arnos a distinguir el bien del mal y cuya conexi\u00f3n con nosotros es para toda la vida.<\/p>\n

Cada a\u00f1o, a menudo reflexiono sobre TODAS \u201d las madres de mi vida. Si bien sin duda honro a la Madre Mar\u00eda y a mi madre aqu\u00ed en la tierra, ha habido muchas que han influido en mi vida y que considero una figura materna que merece ser celebrada. Quienes guiaron algunas de mis decisiones en la vida me ense\u00f1aron con sus palabras y a quienes admir\u00e9 por sus acciones y ejemplo.<\/p>\n

El D\u00eda de la Madre es una oportunidad para honrar a todas las mujeres que conocemos y amamos, que siguen el ejemplo altruista de nuestra madre celestial, Mar\u00eda, Madre de Dios. Hay muchos ejemplos de Mar\u00eda cumpliendo su papel como Sant\u00edsima Madre en cada generaci\u00f3n y cultura. Ella ha demostrado su resiliencia, devoci\u00f3n y fortaleza, que tambi\u00e9n se reflejan en los corazones y las vidas de todas las madres.<\/p>\n

Mar\u00eda es el m\u00e1ximo ejemplo de maternidad para todos nosotros. Su vocaci\u00f3n como madre, al nutrir la vida humana y criar a las futuras generaciones, no solo requiere abnegaci\u00f3n, sino tambi\u00e9n inmensa fuerza y paciencia. La Sant\u00edsima Madre siempre ha demostrado esta abnegaci\u00f3n, mediante su plena confianza en el Se\u00f1or, quien la acompa\u00f1ar\u00eda en el dif\u00edcil camino del nacimiento de Cristo, a trav\u00e9s de su muerte y resurrecci\u00f3n.\u00a0En nuestra devoci\u00f3n a la Sant\u00edsima Madre, reconocemos el amor eterno y tierno de Mar\u00eda por Jes\u00fas y su compromiso con nosotros.<\/p>\n

La fuerza del amor de una madre por su hijo est\u00e1 presente en cada etapa de la vida. La maternidad crea un v\u00ednculo \u00fanico entre madre e hijo, un ejemplo del don divino de la creaci\u00f3n que une a todas las madres con Dios.<\/p>\n

El Papa Francisco dijo una vez: \u00abUna sociedad sin madres ser\u00eda una sociedad deshumanizada, pues las madres son siempre, incluso en los peores momentos, testigos de ternura, dedicaci\u00f3n y fortaleza moral\u00bb (Audiencia General, 2015).<\/a><\/p>\n

Demostremos honor a nuestra bendita Madre Mar\u00eda, a nuestra Madre Iglesia, a nuestras madres aqu\u00ed en la tierra y a cualquiera de aquellas personas en nuestras vidas que nos han dado los hermosos regalos que s\u00f3lo una madre puede brindar.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
