Do we follow the crowd, trends, and what&#8217;s popular, or do we give our whole heart and loyalty to God?<\/p>\n<p id=\"p-rc_a4d139f2aa45e1ca-21\" data-path-to-node=\"2\"><span data-path-to-node=\"2,0\">In this week&#8217;s readings from <a href=\"https:\/\/bible.usccb.org\/bible\/isaiah\/45?1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Isaiah 45:1, 4-6<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 and\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/bible.usccb.org\/bible\/matthew\/22?15\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Matthew 22:15-21<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span><span data-path-to-node=\"2,2\">, we see a choice about where we belong. God calls <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=_SXIn4QWjkY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Cyrus<\/strong> <\/span><\/a>(a leader who didn&#8217;t even know God yet) to show that He is the true God over all the earth<\/span><span data-path-to-node=\"2,4\">. Later, when Jesus is asked about paying taxes to the Roman ruler Caesar, He gives a brilliant answer: give Caesar what belongs to him (like coins and everyday civic duties), but give your whole heart and life to God<\/span><span data-path-to-node=\"2,6\">!<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\"><b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Lessons for Life:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"4\">\n<li><strong>God&#8217;s Big Picture (Isaiah 45:1, 4-6):<\/strong> God is in charge of everything<span data-path-to-node=\"4,0,0,2\">. Even when people don&#8217;t realize it, God works behind the scenes in history, through leaders and politicians and in each of our lives, for a greater good.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Two Different Worlds (Matthew 22:15-21):<\/strong> Jesus reminds us that while we live in society and have earthly responsibilities, our souls and ultimate loyalty belong completely to God. Something we need to see each day before we make choices.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Whose Image Do You Carry?: <\/strong>Just as the coin bears the stamp of earthly authority, our lives bear the image of our Creator. Merely following outward rules or going through the motions isn&#8217;t enough; <span class=\"citation-1362 citation-1363 citation-1364 citation-end-1364\">the true &#8220;image&#8221; we carry defines our ultimate belonging&#8230; who we truly choose to belong to.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\"><b data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Takeaway for the Week:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"6\">This week, think about what gets most of your time and attention\u2014\n<ul>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"6\">Your phone, job, social media approval, or fitting in with friends?<\/li>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"6\">Helping or spending quality time with family or a friend?<\/li>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"6\">Praying for someone who needs it?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"6\">While taking care of your everyday responsibilities, remember that your true worth and ultimate loyalty <strong>belong to God.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7\"><b data-path-to-node=\"7\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The Example of St. Carlo Acutis:<\/b><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"8\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/stjuliasilercity.org\/es\/carlo-acutis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>St. Carlo Acutis<\/strong> <\/a><\/span>was a regular teenager who loved playing video games, coding websites, and hanging out with his friends. But he didn&#8217;t let the culture or trends of the world capture his heart. Instead, he used his everyday talents to build a website cataloging the Eucharistic miracles, calling the Eucharist his <strong>&#8220;highway to heaven.&#8221;<\/strong> He showed that you can live in the modern world, use technology, and still give your whole heart completely to God.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Reflection of the Week:<\/b><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10,0,0\"><strong>Look at the things that take up your personal time and screen time. Dios llama a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=uW9pTdoFuCQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Ciro<\/strong><\/span><\/a> (un l\u00edder que a\u00fan no lo conoc\u00eda) para demostrar que \u00c9l es el verdadero Dios sobre toda la tierra. M\u00e1s tarde, cuando le preguntan a Jes\u00fas sobre el pago de impuestos al emperador romano C\u00e9sar, da una respuesta brillante: \u00a1Denle a C\u00e9sar lo que le corresponde (como monedas y los deberes c\u00edvicos cotidianos), pero entreguen su coraz\u00f3n y su vida a Dios!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lecciones para la vida:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>El plan de Dios (Isa\u00edas 45:1, 4-6):<\/strong> Dios tiene el control de todo. Incluso cuando las personas no se dan cuenta, Dios obra tras bambalinas en la historia, a trav\u00e9s de l\u00edderes y pol\u00edticos, y en la vida de cada uno de nosotros, para un bien mayor.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dos mundos diferentes (Mateo 22:15-21):<\/strong> Jes\u00fas nos recuerda que, si bien vivimos en sociedad y tenemos responsabilidades terrenales, nuestras almas y nuestra lealtad suprema pertenecen completamente a Dios. Algo que debemos tener presente cada d\u00eda antes de tomar decisiones.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00bfA qui\u00e9n representas?:<\/strong> As\u00ed como la moneda lleva el sello de la autoridad terrenal, nuestras vidas llevan la imagen de nuestro Creador. No basta con seguir las reglas externas o actuar por inercia; la verdadera &#8220;imagen&#8221; que representamos define nuestra pertenencia suprema&#8230; a qui\u00e9n elegimos pertenecer realmente.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Reflexi\u00f3n de la semana:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Esta semana, reflexiona sobre qu\u00e9 ocupa la mayor parte de tu tiempo y atenci\u00f3n:\n<ul>\n<li>\u00bfTu tel\u00e9fono, tu trabajo, la aprobaci\u00f3n en las redes sociales o encajar con tus amigos?<\/li>\n<li>\u00bfAyudar o pasar tiempo de calidad con tu familia o un amigo?<\/li>\n<li>\u00bfOrar por alguien que lo necesita?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mientras cumples con tus responsabilidades diarias, recuerda que tu verdadero valor y tu lealtad <strong>suprema pertenecen a Dios.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>El ejemplo de San Carlos Acutis:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stjuliasilercity.org\/es\/carlo-acutis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>San Carlos Acutis<\/strong><\/span><\/a> era un adolescente com\u00fan y corriente al que le encantaba jugar videojuegos, programar sitios web y pasar tiempo con sus amigos. Pero no permiti\u00f3 que la cultura ni las tendencias del mundo lo cautivaran. En cambio, us\u00f3 sus talentos cotidianos para crear un sitio web que catalogaba los milagros eucar\u00edsticos, llamando a la Eucarist\u00eda su <strong>&#8220;autopista al cielo&#8221;<\/strong>.
