Prepare the Cards (The &#8220;Choices&#8221;)<\/b><\/h4>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9\">Before starting, write the following simple scenarios onto the small slips of paper. Sort the Choices<\/b><\/h4>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12\">Read each card aloud and discuss it with the children.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Ask:<\/b> &#8220;Is this choice <i>easy<\/i> for me, or does it take me <i>giving up<\/i> something (like my time, my fun, or my feeling of being right)?&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><b>Discuss:<\/b> Talk about the <i>cost<\/i> of the Sacrificial Love card. For example, for &#8220;Helping Dad take out the stinky trash,&#8221; the cost is your comfort and time.<\/li>\n<li><b>Action:<\/b> Have the children physically place the card into the correct container (Easy Love or Sacrificial Love).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b>3. The Reveal (The &#8220;Power&#8221;)<\/b><\/h4>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15\">Once all the cards are sorted, open the boxes.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Point to the &#8220;EASY LOVE&#8221; box:<\/b> &#8220;This box is full of good choices! They make us and the people around us happy. But these choices didn&#8217;t cost us much. They are the &#8216;safe&#8217; choices.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><b>Point to the &#8220;SACRIFICIAL LOVE&#8221; box:<\/b> &#8220;This box is full of the &#8216;hard&#8217; choices. These choices are the ones that sometimes make us a little uncomfortable or a little sad for a moment, <i>but<\/i> they show the biggest, strongest kind of love\u2014the love that Jesus showed.<\/li>\n<li><b>This is where the true power of love is!<\/b>&#8220;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b>4. Application and Challenge<\/b><\/h4>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"18\">Give the children a simple, immediate challenge for the rest of the day:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-path-to-node=\"19\">\n<p data-path-to-node=\"19,0\">&#8220;Today, I challenge you to make one choice from the <b>Sacrificial Love<\/b> box. Look for a chance to give up your time, your comfort, or your turn to help someone else. La Revelaci\u00f3n (El &#8220;Poder&#8221;)<\/h3>\n<p>Una vez que todas las tarjetas est\u00e9n clasificadas, abran las cajas.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Se\u00f1alen la caja de &#8220;AMOR F\u00c1CIL&#8221;:<\/strong> &#8220;\u00a1Esta caja est\u00e1 llena de buenas decisiones! Nos hacen felices a nosotros y a quienes nos rodean. Pero estas decisiones no nos costaron mucho. Son las decisiones &#8216;seguras'&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Se\u00f1alen la caja de &#8220;AMOR SACRIFICIAL&#8221;:<\/strong> &#8220;Esta caja est\u00e1 llena de las decisiones &#8216;dif\u00edciles&#8217;. Estas decisiones son las que a veces nos hacen sentir un poco inc\u00f3modos o un poco tristes por un momento, pero demuestran el amor m\u00e1s grande y fuerte: el amor que Jes\u00fas demostr\u00f3.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00a1Aqu\u00ed reside el verdadero poder del amor!&#8221;.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>4.
