“Vanity of vanities, says Qoheleth, vanity of vanities!\u00a0 All things are vanity!”<\/em><\/p>\n Today we listen from Ecclesiastes 1<\/a>\u00a0 that all things in this world will not last. Vanity = Emptiness, so we are taught to not love the things of the world.<\/p>\n Think of yourself as a visitor from another planet coming to visit Earth. When leave here, you remember you were told not to bring anything back home that is of Earth. If you look around, everything you see here is considered “of this world”.\u00a0 From trees, animals and food to cars, houses, clothes, jobs, school, phones, games, money…. anything that is from this world. And it isn’t because these things are bad. They make things in life easier and convenient. Some things are necessary to keep us alive!<\/p>\n But even if you work all your life, these things wont last. We should always be grateful for whatever we have but always remember that LOVE matters most. Greediness isn’t good. Happiness shouldn’t be about the things we have, but be about God and the people in our lives.<\/p>\n In Luke 12:13-21<\/a>, we are taught that life is more than material things. True life comes from a good relationship with God, not accumulating wealth. Not greed.<\/p>\n We always want more. But when we leave here and return to God, if He asks us what our lives mean, what would we say?\u00a0All of the things we stored up? Or that I loved my family and God and others more than anything?\u00a0 What matters most is to be RICH in faith, hope and love.<\/p>\n Earth things vs Eternal things!\u00a0What things should I hold on to?\u00a0 What things should I let go of?<\/p>\n “\u00a1Vanidad de vanidades!”, dice Qohelet, “\u00a1vanidad de vanidades!”. “\u00a1Todo es vanidad!”.<\/p>\n Hoy escuchamos en Eclesiast\u00e9s 1 que todo en este mundo no durar\u00e1. Vanidad = Vac\u00edo, por eso se nos ense\u00f1a a no amar las cosas del mundo.<\/p>\n Imag\u00ednate como un visitante de otro planeta que viene a la Tierra. Al partir, recuerdas que te dijeron que no trajeras nada de la Tierra. Si miras a tu alrededor, todo lo que ves aqu\u00ed se considera “de este mundo”. Desde \u00e1rboles, animales y comida hasta autos, casas, ropa, trabajos, escuela, tel\u00e9fonos, juegos, dinero… cualquier cosa de este mundo. Y no es porque estas cosas sean malas. Hacen la vida m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil y c\u00f3moda. \u00a1Algunas cosas son necesarias para mantenernos vivos!<\/p>\n Pero incluso si trabajas toda la vida, estas cosas no durar\u00e1n. Siempre debemos estar agradecidos por lo que tenemos, pero recuerda siempre que el AMOR es lo m\u00e1s importante. La avaricia no es buena. La felicidad no deber\u00eda basarse en lo que tenemos, sino en Dios y las personas que nos rodean.<\/p>\n En Lucas 12:13-21, se nos ense\u00f1a que la vida es m\u00e1s que las cosas materiales. La verdadera vida proviene de una buena relaci\u00f3n con Dios, no de acumular riquezas. No de la avaricia.<\/p>\n Siempre queremos m\u00e1s. Pero cuando nos vamos de aqu\u00ed y regresamos a Dios, si \u00c9l nos pregunta qu\u00e9 significa nuestra vida, \u00bfqu\u00e9 dir\u00edamos? \u00bfTodo lo que hemos acumulado? \u00bfO que amamos a mi familia, a Dios y a los dem\u00e1s m\u00e1s que a nada?
