I\u2019m so glad that some wish to share some aspects of their spiritual journey with our parish family. May they inspire us and help us on our own journeys. Friar Julio<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the Lenten Season I tend to doubt myself. I tend to judge each thing and everything I do. I am a very talented person. I love to speak, to listen, and not to speak. I love to paint, draw, sing, dance, and, most of all, I love contemplation. Contemplation was nerve racking for my senses.<\/p>\n

However, I\u2019m learning that it\u2019s \u2018never too old to learn,\u2019 to calm down and to take a little time to smell, to close my eyes, to become empty of thoughts and listen. As I have progressed with contemplation, I\u2019ve also grown in the skills of teaching, learning, and creating. Yes, I\u2019m older and retired, but the time spent in contemplative prayer lends itself to more productive active time.
\nI\u2019m a complex artist. I thought I was a simple human being, but I was wrong. The more I pray and contemplate the more profound my life becomes. This is a complex but easy ride. The more you delve, the easier it becomes to feel the spirit of God, to know his presence, and feel the love. Our Lord is pure and simple although we tend to make the Spirit complicated.<\/p>\n

So, slow down a little. Try contemplative prayer and enjoy the fulfillment given by the Spirit.\u201d -Alice.<\/p>\n

A Prayer During Conversion in the Lenten Journey:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cBreathe in the Holy Spirit all around us and into our hearts, minds, bodies and souls.
\nDear God, Show me. Teach me.
\nGuide and help me.
\nGrant me the gift and grace to follow your example in the way of Love.
\nGrant me the grace to give up the vices that keep me from living in the fullness of Christ.
\nFor I can\u2019t do it without you, Jesus.
\nIn Christ I can do all things.
\nMay I receive your Holy Spirit to transform me and to consume all that is dross and lacking of God.
\nIn Jesus\u2019 name, may God\u2019s love and light fill me and be reflected in, out, and all around me.
\nMay Christ\u2019s Light shine forever in us.

Me alegra mucho que algunos deseen compartir aspectos de su camino espiritual con nuestra familia parroquial. Ojal\u00e1 nos inspiren y nos ayuden en nuestro propio camino. Fray Julio<\/strong>\u201c<\/p>\n

Durante la Cuaresma tiendo a dudar de m\u00ed misma. Tiendo a juzgar cada cosa y todo lo que hago. Soy una persona muy talentosa. Me encanta hablar, escuchar y callar. Me encanta pintar, dibujar, cantar, bailar y, sobre todo, me encanta la contemplaci\u00f3n. La contemplaci\u00f3n era estresante para mis sentidos.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, estoy aprendiendo que “nunca es demasiado tarde para aprender”, a calmarme y tomarme un tiempo para oler, cerrar los ojos, vaciarme de pensamientos y escuchar.
\nA medida que he progresado con la contemplaci\u00f3n, tambi\u00e9n he desarrollado mis habilidades para ense\u00f1ar, aprender y crear. S\u00ed, soy mayor y estoy jubilada, pero el tiempo que dedico a la oraci\u00f3n contemplativa se presta a un tiempo activo m\u00e1s productivo.
\nSoy un artista compleja. Pensaba que era un ser humano sencillo, pero me equivocaba. Cuanto m\u00e1s rezo y contemplo,m\u00e1s profunda se vuelve mi vida. Es un camino complejo pero f\u00e1cil. Cuanto m\u00e1s profundizas, m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil se vuelve…
\nSentir el Esp\u00edritu de Dios, conocer su presencia y sentir su amor. Nuestro Se\u00f1or es puro y sencillo, aunque solemos complicar el Esp\u00edritu.<\/p>\n

As\u00ed que, rel\u00e1jate un poco. Prueba la oraci\u00f3n contemplativa y disfruta de la plenitud que te da el Esp\u00edritu. -Alice.<\/p>\n

Oraci\u00f3n durante la Conversi\u00f3n en el Camino Cuaresmal:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cInhala el Esp\u00edritu Santo a nuestro alrededor y en nuestros corazones, mentes, cuerpos y almas.
\nQuerido Dios, Mu\u00e9strame. Ens\u00e9\u00f1ame.
\nGu\u00edame y ay\u00fadame.
\nConc\u00e9deme el don y la gracia de seguir tu ejemplo en el camino del Amor.
\nConc\u00e9deme la gracia de abandonar los vicios que me impiden vivir en la plenitud de Cristo.
\nPorque no puedo hacerlo sin ti, Jes\u00fas.
\nEn Cristo todo lo puedo. Que reciba tu Esp\u00edritu Santo para transformarme y quitar todo lo que es escoria y lo que no es de Dios.
\nEn el nombre de Jes\u00fas, que el amor y la luz de Dios me llenen y se reflejen en m\u00ed, en m\u00ed y a mi alrededor.
