A Mother’s Love Sustains Us<\/h3>\n

I cannot leave St. Julia without expressing my love and gratitude to our Blessed Mother. I am one of those Catholics that have a deep love and devotion to Mary.
\nThroughout the years Our Blessed Mother has accompanied me in my life and ministry and has been a great refuge and strength in my vocation as a Friar and Priest.
\nI owe her much and much of that remains in the intimacy of a love between mother and son.
\nEvery year in the preparations for the celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe, I always told those in charge of the celebration \u201cFor our Mother\u2026Everything!\u201d Nothing was to be half measured.
\nOur devotion had to be expressed with every kind of demonstration of love and gratitude.
\nAnd so our celebrations became what Guadalupe is all about: The great love that exists between La Madre and Her daughters and sons.
\nIf you ever go to her shrine in Mexico you will see and feel that for yourself. We captured that spirit and I pray that it continues.
\nI pray that you also may come to experience her deep love for you. If you already experience that, then you are blessed.
\nIf you do not, then a wonderful thing awaits you. Allow her and her example, as the one who brought the Light of the World into our world, to take you to her Son, Jesus.
\nMay her Immaculate Heart purify and uphold your own hearts so that you can see one another through the eyes of her Son.
\nAll blessings to you. You are in my prayers and in my heart.

El Amor de una Madre nos Sostiene<\/h3>\n

No puedo despedirme de St. Julia sin expresar mi amor y gratitud a nuestra Sant\u00edsima Madre. Soy uno de esos cat\u00f3licos que profesan un profundo amor y devoci\u00f3n a Mar\u00eda.
\nA lo largo de los a\u00f1os, nuestra Sant\u00edsima Madre me ha acompa\u00f1ado en mi vida y ministerio, siendo un gran refugio y fuente de fortaleza en mi vocaci\u00f3n como fraile y sacerdote.
\nLe debo mucho, y gran parte permanece en la intimidad de un amor entre madre e hijo. Cada a\u00f1o, durante los preparativos para la celebraci\u00f3n de Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de Guadalupe,
\nsiempre dec\u00eda a los responsables: “\u00a1Para la Madre… todo!”. Nada deb\u00eda hacerse a medias.
\nNuestra devoci\u00f3n deb\u00eda expresarse mediante toda clase de muestras de amor y gratitud. As\u00ed, nuestras celebraciones reflejaban la esencia misma de Guadalupe: el gran amor que existe
\nentre la Madre y sus hijos e hijas. Si alguna vez visitan su santuario en M\u00e9xico, podr\u00e1n verlo y sentirlo personalmente.
\nNosotros supimos captar ese esp\u00edritu, y ruego para que perdure. Oro para que ustedes tambi\u00e9n lleguen a experimentar su profundo amor por ustedes.
\nSi ya lo experimentan, son bendecidos. Si no, les espera algo maravilloso. Permitan que ella y su ejemplo \u2014como aquella que trajo la Luz del Mundo a nuestro mundo\u2014 los conduzcan hacia su Hijo, Jes\u00fas.
\nQue su Inmaculado Coraz\u00f3n purifique y sostenga los corazones de ustedes, para que puedan verse mutuamente con los ojos de su Hijo.
\nQue reciban muchas bendiciones.
