St. Francis of Assisi and St. Julia<\/h3>\n

These are the two other images that will adorn our sanctuary soon. St. Francis of Assisi, the man of God and of the poor. And St. Julia, our patroness. The St. Francis image is the one that the parish community voted for the most.
\nI chose this image of St. Julia because it shows her on the cross. She was crucified by the man who she refused for the sake of her honor and faith. Rarely do we see a woman on a cross. St. Julia is a powerful intercessor, as I have come to experience during my eight years here. Many have been the prayers granted through her intercession.
\nIt is my hope that you will come to experience the love that St. Julia has for our parish that is named after her. She is our patroness, our sister, and a powerful intercessor whose actions on our behalf demonstrate how special we are to her. May her life and example also serve as an inspiration for all of us.<\/p>\n

San Francisco de As\u00eds y Santa Julia<\/h3>\n

Estas son las otras dos im\u00e1genes que pronto adornar\u00e1n nuestro santuario. San Francisco de As\u00eds, el hombre de Dios y de los pobres. Y Santa Julia, nuestra patrona. La imagen de San Francisco es la que la comunidad parroquial eligi\u00f3 por mayor\u00eda de votos.
\nEleg\u00ed esta imagen de Santa Julia porque la muestra en la cruz. Fue crucificada por el hombre a quien rechaz\u00f3 en defensa de su honor y de su fe. Rara vez vemos a una mujer en una cruz. Santa Julia es una intercesora poderosa, tal como he podido experimentar durante mis ocho a\u00f1os aqu\u00ed. Muchas han sido las oraciones concedidas gracias a su intercesi\u00f3n.
\nEs mi esperanza que ustedes lleguen a experimentar el amor que Santa Julia siente por nuestra parroquia, la cual lleva su nombre. Ella es nuestra patrona, nuestra hermana y una intercesora poderosa cuyas acciones en nuestro favor demuestran cu\u00e1n especiales somos para ella. Que su vida y su ejemplo sirvan tambi\u00e9n de inspiraci\u00f3n para todos nosotros.<\/p>\n
