Oh, Please, Lord, Don\u2019t Let it be So!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I do understand that, seen from a spiritual or even from a psychological perspective, the concept of new beginnings are as important as growth and maturity themselves. The concepts of new beginnings and thresholds are meaningful, but they also tire us out. As much as new beginnings are necessary so is continuity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The new perspectives, new ways, and new programs that Pope Francis initiated for the Church on behalf of the Church need to continue in order for them to mature and become established in the life of the Church. For this very reason I do hope that the new Pope will be a voice of continuity with a good sprinkle of new initiatives. I hope that the Francis effect is not dismissed. Just like branches, that need time and attention as they continue growing on the vine, so do new directions and perspectives need continuity for their fruits to appear.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The cardinals will go into conclave next week and elect a new pope. We will accompany them with our prayers and our hopes. May they be wise enough not to be too set on what is, not too set on what was, and neither on what will be.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">But, please, Lord, let us not start all over again as if nothing has happened! A lot indeed has happened, and it has changed us. Allow it all to mature within us and lead us to where you desire.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Est\u00e1n en mis oraciones y en mi coraz\u00f3n<br \/>\nPaz y Bien.<br \/>\nFray Julio<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u00bfUn Nuevo Comienzo para la Iglesia? \u00a1Oh, Se\u00f1or, por favor, no permitas que sea as\u00ed!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Entiendo que, visto desde una perspectiva espiritual o incluso psicol\u00f3gica, el concepto de nuevos comienzos es tan importante como el crecimiento y la madurez mismos. Los conceptos de nuevos comienzos y umbrales son significativos, pero tambi\u00e9n nos cansan. Si bien los nuevos comienzos son necesarios, tambi\u00e9n lo es la continuidad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Las nuevas perspectivas, nuevos caminos y nuevos programas que el Papa Francisco inici\u00f3 para la Iglesia en nombre de la Iglesia deben continuar para que maduren y se afiancen en la vida de la Iglesia. Por esta misma raz\u00f3n, espero que el nuevo Papa sea una voz de continuidad con un buen toque de nuevas iniciativas. Espero que el efecto Francisco no se desestime. Al igual que las ramas, que necesitan tiempo y atenci\u00f3n a medida que crecen en la vid, las nuevas direcciones y perspectivas tambi\u00e9n necesitan continuidad para que sus frutos se manifiesten.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Los cardenales entrar\u00e1n en c\u00f3nclave la pr\u00f3xima semana y elegir\u00e1n un nuevo Papa. Los acompa\u00f1aremos con nuestras oraciones y esperanzas. Que sean lo suficientemente sabios como para no obsesionarse demasiado con lo que es, ni con lo que fue, ni con lo que ser\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Pero, por favor, Se\u00f1or, \u00a1no nos dejes empezar de nuevo como si nada hubiera pasado! Mucho ha sucedido, y nos ha cambiado.
