\nImmigration is not merely a matter of public policy or law enforcement; it touches the very heart of our faith.
\nEvery person is created in the image of God and deserves dignity, compassion, and care. Jesus Himself knew the experience of being a refugee, and He commands us to welcome the stranger, for in doing so we welcome Him.
\nA broken immigration system will not be improved through fear. We welcome comprehensive reform of the U.S. immigration system through a dialogue and approach which respects both borders and human dignity.
\nWhen one part of the Body of Christ is suffering, we all hurt. To our immigrant sisters and brothers: you are not alone. We see your fear and suffering, and we stand with you in solidarity.
\nWhen circumstances beyond your control keep you from Mass, you are dispensed from the obligation; your absence is not a failure but a burden we carry together.
\nI thank all of you who accompany immigrants with love and call on leaders to seek just and humane solutions. We take heart in knowing that Christ walks with us always, and for all of us, our true homeland is God\u2019s Kingdom where we will all dwell together in perfect peace.<\/p>\n

\nLa inmigraci\u00f3n no es simplemente un asunto de pol\u00edtica p\u00fablica o de aplicaci\u00f3n de la ley; toca la esencia misma de nuestra fe.
\nToda persona es creada a imagen de Dios y merece dignidad, compasi\u00f3n y cuidado. Jes\u00fas mismo conoci\u00f3 la experiencia de ser un refugiado y nos manda acoger al extranjero, porque al hacerlo, lo acogemos a \u00c9l.
\nUn sistema migratorio quebrado no mejorar\u00e1 con el miedo. Acogemos con satisfacci\u00f3n una reforma integral del sistema migratorio estadounidense mediante un di\u00e1logo y un enfoque que respete tanto las fronteras como la dignidad humana. Cuando una parte del Cuerpo de Cristo sufre, todos sufrimos. A nuestros hermanos y hermanas inmigrantes: no est\u00e1n solos. Vemos su miedo y sufrimiento, y los acompa\u00f1amos en solidaridad.
\nCuando circunstancias ajenas a su voluntad les impiden asistir a Misa, se les dispensa de la obligaci\u00f3n; su ausencia no es un fracaso, sino una carga que llevamos juntos.
\nAgradezco a todos los que acompa\u00f1an a los inmigrantes con amor y hago un llamado a los l\u00edderes para que busquen soluciones justas y humanas. Nos reconforta saber que Cristo camina siempre con nosotros, y para todos nosotros,
